Island Rhythmics is a boutique gymnastics club located in beautiful Victoria BC. We offer nationally certified coaches and highly regarded specialists to offer a unique training experience. NCCP 3 certified and coach evaluator, Competed nationally in Canada and member of the Canadian National Junior Group Champion team, International level judge and member of the Gymnastics Canada Judge’s Working Group, Gymnaestrada and competitive-level choreographer in B.C. and throughout Canada.

NCCP 3 certified, Former Rhythmic Program Director of Gymnastics Canada, Author of both the NCCP Foundations of Gymnastics rhythmics certification course and the NCCP Rhythmic specific level 3 and 4 evaluations, 35 years as a college teacher.

Gillian

Gillian competed nationally in Chile, is studying Kinesiology at Camosun College, and has a passion for working with recreational gymnasts.

Julie

Julie is NCCP 3 certified, a coach evaluator, a course conductor and master coach developer national level judge, and has competed nationally. She works on increasing diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for Gym Sask and was coach and choreographer for the 2019 Canadian entry into the FIG Gala at World Gymnaestrada.

Sebastian

Sebastian is a Ballet Victoria Male Soloist. He began his training at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver and won the Vancouver Ballet Society’s Erik Bruhn scholarship. He graduated from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and went on tour in Europe with the Atlantic Ballet of Canada.

Mikey

Mikey is NCCP Certified in men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics as well as trampoline and was the choreographer and coach for our 2023 World Gymnaestrada team.

Kailey is a Ballet Victoria Aspirant. She graduated from the Alberta Ballet Professional Program, attended The Royal Ballet School in London, and was the recipient of the Ballet Victoria Rosemarie Liscum Award for Emerging Artist in 2022.

Trevor

Trevor has over 10 years’ experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum. He is working on his Masters degree in counselling and is passionate about helping kids with diverse abilities access community sport.
